Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews with Mathematics subject teachers of grade III MI Bustanul Ulum Johowinong Mojoagung, namely regarding the lack of student understanding and in the learning process only using makeshift learning media. That is what causes low student numeracy skills and causes low student learning motivation because each student has a different learning style. To solve this problem, researchers developed learning media, namely Korasi media. Korasi media helps teachers in delivering multiplication material and can help students in calculating. Researchers developed Korasi media with the aim of increasing student learning motivation which will also have an impact on student learning outcomes. This study is a Research and Development study with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that Korasi media is declared effective in learning mathematics. This can be seen from the average score of material validation of 97.2%, design expert validation of 93.3% and validation of mathematics subject teachers of 100%. In addition, the results of the trial use in trial I and trial II also prove that the Korasi media can increase students' learning motivation, this is known from the results of the student questionnaire with the N-Gain test of 0.72. The student's response to the Korasi media is that students are happy and motivated to learn, especially on multiplication material in mathematics lessons.
